Limited edition of 10 per size
August 2022: Geamăna, once nestled in the Romanian mountains, was sacrificed for a toxic dump and now lies submerged under 90 meters of industrial waste. In the 1970s, dictator Nicolae Ceausescu ordered the village's relocation, so mining waste could flood the valley. Only a handful of residents still live there today. The multi-colored lake obscures nearly all traces of Geamăna, a stark reminder of broken promises and ecological devastation ignored by authorities.
